Dining ~ Napolitano's Brooklyn Pizza ~Providence

I had granddaughter Wren over for a "just us" sleepover, complete with pizza, video games, and a movie. It was a complete success, including the pizza.
One of my goals for the year is to try pizza from 10 different restaurants in Rhode Island that I've never tried before. With Wren, only cheese pizza will do, which really is the best way to compare pizzas anyway.
I went with Napolitano's, and wasn't disappointed. The size of the pie and slices brought me back to my youth on Long Island. The crust was thin, foldable, but still crispy. The sauce, also thin, was sweet, leaning heavy on the basil. The cheese was fresh, and it arrived melting - but not burning - hot. Important distinction when you have an impatient 7-year-old to feed.
Napolitano's will definitely rate a revisit, and a "see? we have New York style pizza here" sampling for my relatives when they come up.
