1. Tell us about your work
I design items for weddings in the Newport area and beyond. I create invitations, save the dates and a multitude of day of items. It's a lot of fun!

2. Is there a story behind the name of your business?
It is a play on my name Kate Lemish.

3. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
I studied design in school and worked in a corporate setting for a while, then I designed my own wedding invitations over 14 years ago and the rest they say is history.

4. Where do you draw your inspiration?
My surroundings, my clients, my local area mostly. Many of my designs start as an idea from a client that we then develop and tweak.

5. What’s your favorite item to create?
Letterpress invitations. I love the look of them in person. They are just so beautiful!

6. What’s your best seller? 
An invitation in my Etsy shop that features a map of North and South America on the back and tells a little story of the couple getting married.

7. How long have you been in Rhode Island? 
Moved here in 2000

8. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island? 
I live near the water and I love living near the ocean! It is always calming and relaxing

9. Favorite place to take out-of-towners? 
We like to head to the beach!

10. Any advice for new/wannabe makers? 
Keep trying, believe in yourself, don't get discouraged when there is more to do than time in the day!
