1. Tell us about your work:
We make custom solid wood tables in Pawtucket, RI.

2. Is there a story behind the name of your business?
It was the name of the street where the original workshop was located (my garage at home).

3. How did you come to be a professional artist/crafter/designer?
I majored in fine arts at school, however for 30 years, I chose other avenues to keep body and soul together. The last twenty years have been filled with projects of design and crafting.

4. Where do you draw your inspiration?
We draw our inspiration from everywhere, including Rhode Island's industrial history, our customers, and even just the organic look and behavior of the wood itself.

5. What’s your favorite item to create?
Probably an old pine farm table, because that's how it all started and is still a look that I love.

6. What’s your best seller?
Lately, we have made quite a few walnut live edge tables with industrial style legs.

7. How long have you been in Rhode Island?
36 years

8. What do you {heart} about Rhode Island?
The people!

9. Favorite place to take out-of-towners?
Downtown Providence

10. Any advice for new/wannabe makers?
It's worth investing not just in your own craft, but on learning skills like marketing and business, which will help you reach more people with your work.

11. Please include anything else you’d like to add:
We have an open studio policy! So if you're in the Rhode Island area, you can come visit us anytime during the week between roughly 8:30 and 3:30. We would be happy to give you a tour of the workshop and show you what sorts of projects we are working on lately.
