Product review ~ Glee Gum Pops
Glee Gum Pops claim the title of the world’s first & only 100% natural gum pops. They're gluten-free, allergy-friendly, and vegan, and are made without artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives. They’re also certified Kosher. Glee generously sent us a bag of the pops to taste-test...
The I {heart} Rhody focus group was a knock-out duo of Avé and his girlfriend, Koda, both of whom are orally-fixated millenials with a penchant for local sweets. The product: Glee Gum Pops lollipops - Juicy Orange, Crisp Green Apple, and Sweet Strawberry.
The lollipops were a satisfying ride for all on-board. Glee's flavors are classic, but even through the wrapper, their scent comes vividly. Getting the lollipops out of the wrapper was a different story. Are they normally so tightly wound? Koda used scissors to open up her Crisp Green Apple.
Avé tried out the Sweet Strawberry, and was taken aback at how much it tasted like soda. On the other hand, Koda loved both Juicy Orange and Sweet Strawberry, precisely because the flavors were so strong.
"It tastes like Smucker's Jam!" she cried in delight.
Avé finished the whole Crisp Green Apple by himself, enjoying the more subtle, autumn taste.
"All in all, we would recommend Glee Gum's lollipops to our friends and peers, though anyone who avoids super-sweet would probably do well to pick and choose their flavors."
Avé's grandfather, Dann, also tried a Sweet Strawberry pop. He was surprised at the light color. It appeared almost peach because of the pink bubblegum inside. He enjoyed the flavor, and asked if I had any other ones. I'm under instruction to obtain some Crisp Green Apple for him. He also hopes they come out with cherry. He really liked the flavor of the bubblegum as well.
Avé's nieces and nephews (ages 4-10) loved all three flavors, and the gum. Note that the pops are not recommended for ages three and under.
