Roger Williams Park Carousel Court

Roger Williams Park is a favorite go-to destination for us - and lots of other Rhode Islanders and tourists. It has so much to offer. Even when cars line the roadways, I've never seen it truly crowded with people.

A Google search for Roger Williams Park usually brings up the zoo, which is a great zoo, but it's not the only thing in this impressive park. There are plenty of overlooked gems.

One attraction that's better-known is Carousel Village. The Village includes a Victorian-style carousel, Hasbro's totally accessible "Boundless Playground" and a snack bar/gift shop.

The carousel is beautiful, with all kinds of animals and chariots; some stationary and some mobile. Here are a few of our favorites:

Giraffe
A giraffe - one of my favorite animals

unicorn close
a battle-ready steed

Rhode Island horse
Rhode Island - themed horse with flag and seal

hippocampus in carousel at Roger Williams Park
hippocampus - my favorite of the rides on this carousel
A ride token only costs $1, making it an affordable and fun stop.

Comments

  1. Every community needs to have at least a park for recreation. At least they're providing this indoor fun in Rhode Island.
